Holiwell's initial line of females came from Appertarra Lowline Stud, a Foundation herd established in Western Australia in the early stages of Lowline release. This purchase of eight females in calf to Appertarra Randy and Appertarra Scott has proven to be a successful base herd for Holiwell to build on. Additional females have also been introduced from Yealeringa stock.
